Hard Dubstep and Trap Loops and Samples

Do you still dig Dubstep? Of course you Do! It may not be the hot new kid on the block, but it’s still got a lot of life and love going for it. Plus, it’s fun to make.

Of course, you don’t want to keep doing the same old thing. So I’ve got a pack of loops and samples to tell you about. One that is perfect for beginners, or anyone looking for something with a bit of spice. Something a bit… harder, to kick things up a notch or two.

And you can use it for Dubsteps newer cousin as well, Neo-Trap. Much the way Dubstep was originally a mix of reggae Dub and garage 2-step, Trap started off as a specific sub-genre of rap and electronica. These days Dubstep influence has gotten in, and it’s become the fuck child of Dubstep and Rap.

It’s a hot genre to be part of. And whether you want to stick to Dubstep or explore Trap, this pack has what you need.

Over a GB of loops and samples to work with. It’s a complete kit, so if you’re just getting started, this pack will give you everything you need to get your feet wet.

To The Party! By DJ Cyriaque

Uses an interesting mix of what sounds like military radio chatter, and funky vocals.

The genre is deep house with some Electro and techno-house elements.

I really dig the bass line on this track.

Bass House Presets for Massive

Massive is one of the most popular soft synths for music production. It’s powerful, and once you get the hang of it, it creates some great sounds.

Of course, spending days trying to craft great sounds from scratch can be a real headache. Litterally. Sound synthasis from the ground up isn’t for the faint hearted. Plus, for those of us who just like to dig in and make a song, it’s tedious as hell.

Which is why presets are so much fun. You can just select one and start making your song, or use them as a platform to create something else.

With that in mind, I would like to reccomend a very good pack of presets. The focus of the pack is on Bass House, but you can use it for any genre that benifits from some powerful bass sounds. Just tweak the settings till it fits in with the genre you’re working on, and you’re good to go.

The pack has 75 presets. Mostly bass of course, but there’s a few lead and FX ones too.

Just Saw Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them

A+ Movie – Recommended

Excellent movie with very few flaws. About the only thing that struck me as a bit odd, was the part where police are lined up in a barricade. I wont put in any spoilers, but it really doesn’t make much sense. Other than that it was very well made. Nothing pulled me out. The story was very engaging. I liked the characters, and look forward to seeing more from them.

Other than that it had a little bit of everything, and a strong focus on it’s core values. This is a point in history when racial shit is prevalent all over, especially in the USA. Set in the 1930s, It’s leading into what will be the Harry Potter universe version of World War 2. Which should be interesting. One can only assume that Grindelwald is going to have something to do with Hitler’s rise to power. If it’s explicitly stated that he did anywhere already, I’ve either forgotten or wasn’t aware. Do forgive.
In addition to that, there is also the environmental message. Respecting the natural world, and invoking it’s awe. The titular beasts were well realized. There were a couple of places where the CG was a bit dodgy, but overall it was excellent.

I enjoyed seeing a character in the Potterverse that was an adult and able to freely use magic. Which is another aspect of this series of movies I’m looking forward to seeing more of. The original movies tended to focus on limited areas of magic, mainly what was useful for that story. Which is fine. But I’m interested to see more of what adult wizards and witches can do.

My only real complaint is that we’ll be waiting 2 years for the next one. C’est la vie.

Bear With Me

I am transitioning the site from Forum to Blog, since hardly anyone but me posted on the old site.

I’m going to be getting back to basics. Focusing on the core things I work on, and am interested in. Music, writing, game development and associated artwork. I’m also planning to keep doing some stuff with my own E-Fed and about NJPW. Maybe do reviews of the shows while I watch them.
